Quentin Thomas!

We the proud Millsap clan are pleased to announce the addition of Quentin Thomas Millsap on April 20, 2007! Weighing in at 10 lb, 8 oz, he broke all previously held records (sorry, Gavin) to become the new champion. Currently, he spends most of his time adding to his weight and size by eating, sleeping, and pooping all the time.

Speaking of birthdays, today his brother Gavin turns a whopping 2 years old. How time flies when you're chasing kids all day long. This morning we had to clean up before the tv guy came, make a cake, wrap presents, try to hang up crepe streamers with scotch tape (not recommended--I'm going to go find some thumb tacks), all while constantly defending Quentin from the love of his small older brothers Gavin and Jacob (4). I do take some consolation in the fact that they all LOVE him so much. Anyway, we'll be heading off to the zoo pretty soon to go visit the monkeys and tigers.

Hopefully I'll get some time to finish the felt clogs I'm making for Gavin tonight. I'm not a craftsy person generally, but I get all stoked over old homemaking arts like spinning, weaving, and knitting. I've been a little obsessed since I received my dream spinning wheel for my birthday.

Having a new baby always changes the focus of the homeschool adventure for a while, in a good way; what a great opportunity for boys to learn about how to serve others, nurture a small baby, and learn about how much potential we have to grow in life.
